Prof. Chenglin Liu has been working in petroleum geology for 22 years. He received his B.A. degree (1994) in petroleum geosciences and his Ph.D. degree (2004) in mineralogy, petrology, and mineral deposit geology from the China University of Petroleum-Beijing. He made postdoctoral researches in U.S. Geological Survey from 2008 to 2009. Currently, he is the head of Department of Petroleum Geology, China University of Petroleum-Beijing. Prof. Liu's research focus on petroleum resources assessments and reservoir geology. He is responsible for many scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Special Projects, and China Geological Survey. He has published more than 80 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, 15 papers are included in SCI, more than 20 papers are included in EI, and 7 monographs have been compiled.
